Pentagon Prepares USD 100 Millions For Anticipating Viruses

Serious cyber attacks targetting the network of US government get serious attention.

It is true that the increase of attacks through virtual world is increasing in the US. Therefore, The US Department of Defense is ready to channel funds up to USD 100 million.

The money will be used to strengthen the external network to prevent computer viruses.

"A lot of news say that many viruses have been capable of crippling the computer system. In fact, even the military network," said the commander of the Pentagon Jhon Davis, as released by AFP on Wednesday (8/4/2009).

Davis also added that the money is also used to clean the network in order to prevent any future attacks. It is far better to prevent than to repair post-attack
