Bing Bumped Yahoo

Microsoft Corp only needs to take time less than a week to bump Yahoo Inc. Now its site Bing has become the second largest search engine in the world.

According to the report from StatCounter, Google still dominate the search market in the US by 71.47%, Bing 16.28% and Yahoo 10.22%.

"Steve Ballmer (CEO Microsoft) wants Microsoft to be the second largest search engine in the world in five years, and provide funds as much as US$ 40 billion to acquire Yahoo, but Bing seems to be faster and cheaper than predicted," said Aodhan Cullen, CEO StatCounter.

Bing is the upgrade of Microsoft Live Search. The upgrade, which previously used code name Kumo, provides advanced search by entering Bing Travel, Cashback, and Maps dor Enterprise.

Backed up by its marketing power, Microsoft is confident to replace Google as a market leader.
