FREE ANTIVIRUS FROM MICROSOFT

Free antivirus from Microsoft, Microsoft Security Essentials (codename: Morro), has been available in beta.

Not only its easiness to use, Security Essentials also provides a background scanner to find the virus, rootkits, and spyware.

This will complement the antivirus security features of Windows operating systems that have been there before, namely the Windows Firewall, Windows Defender, and Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.

Snow Leopard Equipped With Antivirus

Based on leaked report from the Intego antivirus company, the latest OS from Apple, Snow Leopard, is reportedly vulnerable to malware. In fact, Apple is seriously talking about these security issues related to the OS.

In a recent TV ad, Apple even did 'attack' on PC-related vulnerabilities infiltrated by virus, in which Mac is claimed far more secure. Apple's Anxiety is increasingly asserted then by Intego saying that Snow Leopard will be equipped with antivirus.

Based on the report by Intego, Snow Leopard has indeed detected RSPlug version of the Trojan.
